Thunderbolts 2025 Movie Review
🎬 Introduction: Not Every Team Needs a Superhero Power

Marvel’s (Thunderbolts 2025 Movie Review) enters Phase 5 with a darker promise — villains turned again government . But does this anti-hero squad bring real power or just reused chaos? This film attempt hard to be edgy, but forgets that only darkness alone doesn’t make a movie emotional and deep.
Thunderbolts 2025 Movie Review
💰 Budget vs. Output: Where Did the Money Go?
Thunderbolts, with its massive $200 million investment, was expected to raise the bar for Marvel’s storytelling. But instead of a grainy masterpiece, what we get is a film that is only trying to balance between tone, characters bond, and storytelling.
The action is fantastic. And visuals? Almost impressive.
But the narrative? It’s like the team — feels disconnected.
👥 Cast: A Wasted Goldmine

Florence Pugh (Yelena) and Sebastian Stan (Bucky winter soldier) try deliver their best of acting especially Florence Pugh (Yelena), but the script push them back.
Wyatt Russell’s U.S. Agent had real a potential as a new commer, but again — underused.
David Harbour’s Red Guardian adds some life, but when comic relief is the highlight of your anti-hero film, it’s a red flag.
Valentina (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) feels like she appears misaligned with the film’s rhythm, like she’s part of a separate movie’s idea.
Bottom line: Great actors, poor execution
⚔️ Plot: Who Are We Fighting Again?

The story revolve around a black ops mission gone messy, government secrets, and internal conflict within the team. Sounds good on paper — but the execution feels like Marvel doesn’t fully trust its own dark tone.
There’s suspense, but no real stakes. The villain? Forgettable.
And emotional depth? Only scratched, never explored.
⚖️ What Works vs. What Fails
✔️ What Works:
- Unique tone compared to casual MCU movies
- Character designs and costume work was pretty awesome
- Hints of deeper political themes
❌ What Fails:
- Weak script, Shattering pacing
- No strong villain or central threat
- Team chemistry feels like forced
- A Missed chance to explore deeper morality
🔍 Final Verdict: A Risk That Needed More Bite
Thunderbolts isn’t a bad film — but it’s not a great . It lands somewhere in the middle: trying to be serious, but afraid to go all in. For Marvel, this was a chance to break the formula… but what we got is a remix, not a revolution.
⭐ Rating in my opinion: 6.5/10
Great idea. Mid-level execution.
Thunderbolts walks into the storm but never lets it rain.
